HOUSTON, T.X.-National Trench Safety, LLC (NTS), a Houston-based company specializing in the rental and sales of trench and traffic safety equipment, as well as OSHA-compliant training classes, announced today that it has opened a new branch operation in Las Vegas, NV.
“We are very excited about our new Las Vegas operation,” said Ron Chilton, president of NTS. “While the Las Vegas market has been hit hard by the economic downturn, we are seeing a real rebound in underground and highway projects in this area. This is an important strategic location for NTS and a market we have been watching and planning to enter for some time. As a base for our new branch, we were able to acquire certain operating assets previously owned by Traffic Control Services, Inc., and Allied Trench Safety in Las Vegas. The TCS/Allied asset purchases have given NTS significant rental and sales fleet to service and support our customer base immediately. The new Las Vegas branch will be one of the largest Trench and Traffic safety operations in the country.” The Las Vegas branch is the twelfth branch operation for National Trench Safety in the United States and the first branch location in the State of Nevada. NTS currently has branch operations in California, Arizona, Texas, Utah and Louisiana.
The new Las Vegas branch will be managed by the same team of personnel that were previously employed by TCS/Allied. Keith Taylor will be the new Nevada District Manager and Charles Volk will be the branch manager. Both of these gentlemen have more than 20+ years’ direct experience in the trench and traffic safety industry. “We are fortunate to have Keith and Charles heading up our new Las Vegas operation,” said Chilton. “Keith has built a highly experienced sales and operational support team that are all well known in the market.”
In maintaining the objective of building a nationwide network of trench and traffic safety branches, NTS plans to open additional locations in 2012. For strategic reasons, Chilton declined to comment on the location of the additional new branches. For more information about NTS, visit the National Trench Safety website at ntsafety.wpengine.com.
